Report Phishing or Junk Email
Outlook provides a built-in reporting feature that allows you to quickly and easily report suspicious emails to both 91福利社’s 24x7x365 Security Operations Center (SOC) and Microsoft -- no need for you to forward messages to or contact ITS separately.
When you report an email, the SOC will analyze your submission, take any necessary action, and notify you via email with the results and any further steps required.
The process of flagging a suspicious email is simple. Each version of the Outlook client may look slightly different, examples below, but the process remains the same. Flag suspicious email as either:
- JUNK - Unsolicited bulk commercial emails. Most of these are automatically sent to your Junk folder, but some may slip through.
- PHISHING - Emails that attempt to trick you into disclosing sensitive information or taking actions that could put your your account or device at risk. If an email seems suspicious and is not classified as Junk, flag it as Phishing. If you are unsure, use the Phishing flag.
By using this feature, you help 91福利社 Information Security quickly detect and respond to potential cyber threats, keeping our community safer.
